These rectilinear titanium rectangles draw inspiration from the timeless allure of box kites. Their lightweight design ensures comfort during extended wear. As with all optically created titanium colors a subtle change based on the light quality and viewing angle adds a dynamic and visually captivating aspect to these pieces. It's a fascinating optical phenomenon that's often appreciated for its beauty and intricacy.

Artist
My exploration of metal arts began at the University of Oklahoma, where I was introduced to titanium in the school of art and resistance spot-welding in the school of engineering. Traditional soldering techniques do not apply to titanium and other refractory metals, so spot welding became a welcome joining solution. Eager to learn more about spot welding for my work, I suspended my MFA studies to secure a position with a manufacturer of micro welding equipment and ultimately over five years became their Sr. Applications Engineer providing feasibility studies and worldwide customer support. I soon discovered welding solutions for my art that became solutions to industry and vice versa. I would go on to provide independent micro welding consulting services supporting a host of companies in the aerospace, lighting, and medical industries. I published multiple papers on welding at The Santa Fe Symposium on Jewelry Manufacturing Technology where I received awards for Creative and Innovative Research and the Ambassador Award for my cumulative work and contribution to the jewelry industry.
I continue to apply my art and engineering skills to create unique and innovative pieces that are easily identifiable as my own for their distinctive and creative style.
